Originally designed for cleaning eye surgical instruments, the all-in-ONE Eye Surgical Instrument Detergent Enzyme Cleaners are now used worldwide for cleaning the most challenging medical devices to render them residue free.

Due to the increased awareness of TASS and the most probable causes, the all-in-ONEcleaner eye surgical instrument detergent enzyme lubricant cleaner was developed as a "free rinsing cleaner" for rendering eye surgical instruments that are residue free. During the field trials it was discovered that the all-in-ONEcleaner eye surgical instrument detergent enzyme lubricant cleaners performed better than any other product available for removing even the most challenging bioburden, stains, and encrustation. The all-in-ONE Eye Surgical Instrument Detergent Enzyme Cleaners are now used for cleaning surgical instruments, scopes, utensils and for; soaking surgical instruments prior to cleaning, manual cleaning, ultrasonic cleaning, and automated instrument washers.

It has been shown that TASS may result from deficiencies in the methods used for cleaning eye surgical instruments and the rinsing that follows. Any cleaning substance not properly rinsed, during the cleaning process, can result in TASS. The UPS-1 Eye Surgical Instrument Cleaning Detergents are free rinsing, designed to avoid residual cleaning chemicals being left on eye surgical instruments. Eye Surgical Instrument Cleaners should be Neutral pH and free-rinsing to facilitate a residue free instrument surface. This would be instrumental in preventing TASS. In addition, heat-stable bacterial endotoxins in sterilizer reservoirs or water baths may contaminate instruments and should be avoided.

Cleaning Eye Surgical Instruments why rinsing is critical

Many cases of TASS result from deficiencies in the methods used for cleaning eye surgical instruments and in the sterilization of the eye surgical instruments. Any cleaning substance used during the cleaning process can result in TASS if enough of it enters the eye. Eye Surgical Instrument Cleaner Detergents, enzymes, and residual metallic ions that are left on the eye surgical instruments as a result of inadequate cleaning and rinsing have been implicated. Eye Surgical Instrument Cleaners should be Neutral pH and free-rinsing to facilitate a residue free instrument surface which can be instrumental in preventing TASS. In addition, heat-stable bacterial endotoxins in sterilizer reservoirs or water baths may contaminate instruments. Denatured viscoelastic trapped in eye surgical instruments and cannulas can also result in TASS. Surgical Instrument Washer Racks have been developed that clean cannulated eye surgical instruments inside and out. Properly designed Eye Surgical Instrument Washer Racks can deliver a more thorough cleaning process than manual cleaning, and will lower cleaning costs, while providing a more rapid turnaround. When cleaning eye surgical instruments, rinsing is important in preventing TASS.

The all-in-ONE is available as easy-FOAM-it
soaking eye surgical instrument cleaner.

The easy-FOAM-it dispenser creates a thick layer of FOAM on the surface of the eye surgical instrument but once water is applied the easy-FOAM-it is non-foaming. When water is added to the easy-FOAM-it, the foam dissipates, to present a clear liquid for safe and effective cleaning. Foaming is valuable for hydrating debris and preventing encrustation on soiled eye surgical instruments yet foaming is detrimental with the cleaning processes that follow. FOAMING DURING THE CLEANING PROCESS IS DETRIMENTAL. This is especially important with Ultrasonic Eye Surgical Instrument Cleaners and Automated Eye Surgical Instrument Washers. EYE SURGICAL INSTRUMENT CLEANERS WITHOUT FOAM CONTROL require excessive rinsing since too much foam can be difficult to rinse and cause unwanted residuals to be retained on the instrument surface.

The all-in-ONEcleaners clean rapidly and leave a residue free surface with minimal rinsing. The all-in-ONE eye surgical instrument cleaner will exceed your expectations as an outstanding eye surgical instrument cleaner.

We encourage you to evaluate the
